Ingredients & Tools Needed
To make an espresso martini, you'll need just four ingredients: vodka, coffee liqueur (such as Kahlua), cold-brewed espresso, and sugar syrup. You'll also need a shaker and strainer to mix everything together.
- 2oz vodka
- 1oz coffee liqueur
- Espresso or strong coffee cooled
- 1/2oz sugar syrup
- Start by pouring 2 ounces of vodka into your shaker. Add 1 ounce of coffee liqueur (Kahlua works great) and then fill the shaker halfway with cold-brewed espresso or strong coffee that has been cooled.
- Next, add 1/2 an ounce of sugar syrup—or more if desired—and shake all the ingredients together vigorously until they are well combined and chilled.
- Fill a martini glass with ice cubes and then strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass. Garnish with three coffee beans or chocolate flakes for decoration and enjoy!
- If desired, you can also rim the edges of your glass with dark cocoa powder for extra flavor and presentation points!
